Coaching 111 - Identifying Co-dependency

Co-dependency most often starts in childhood, so if you were raised in a dysfunctional family, you may have been subconsciously programmed with co-dependent behaviours and requirements.

People with co-dependent traits, will often choose partners who are have addictive or abusive traits without even realising it. They are also perfect targets for people with Narcissistic personality disorders who will love-bomb them early in the relationship and will then wield or with-hold love and affection later on.

So, if you are in a relationship that sometimes isn’t what you want and yet, you just don’t want to leave, you may be in a co-dependent relationship, and if you continue as you are now, it can have devastating effects on your self-esteem, your self-confidence and your actual ability to live a happy life.

The good news is that there is a way to fix this J But it all starts with identifying co-dependency.
