Because Co-Dependency is a learned behaviour, it can be un-learned. We just need to identify our patterns and be honest as to whether they keep us happy and safe, or leave us feeling threatened and helpless.
People who are Co-Dependent often find themselves in dysfunctional relationships because they have never actually learned what a healthy relationship looks and feels like. And, sometimes it’s just easier to save someone else than save ourselves.
But the great news is, that if you have been surviving within a Co-Dependent relationship, you already have a lot of the resilience and tenacity required to take you through the seven steps of survival.
